Man charged with defiling and killing daughter appears in Nakuru court

A middle-aged man was yesterday arraigned in a Nakuru court after allegedly defiling his two daughters, aged six and nine, and eventually ending the life of the younger one, brutally.

Nakuru police boss Peterson Maelo confirmed the incident, saying John Kamau reportedly defiled the daughters before hacking the younger girl to death.

He said that the older minor sustained serious head injuries and is still admitted at Narok North District Hospital, but is in a stable condition.

He revealed that the suspect had been taken to the same hospital for mental assessment.

Mr Maelo said the accused had earlier differed with the children’s mother, Mary Wambui, over a domestic issue, which led to her being chased away.

“We have collected all the necessary evidence to compile this case,” he noted.
